Carlos' music creates audible landscapes through his artistic handling of both the piano and acoustic guitar.
As a composer he seamlessly mixes the lyricism of the music of his home state of Minas Gerais with elements of jazz, integrating improvisation with the richness of the Brazilian rhythms and melodies, without surrendering the authenticity of either style. The result is a sound that is uniquely Brazilian yet carries a universal voice.
